The widely respected and distinguished evolutionary biologist Francesco Ayala gave a lecture for the Commonwealth Club at the Santa Clara University. He addressed the question, "Is Biological Evolution Compatible with a Moral Conscience?" Dr. Ayala is a winner of the National Medal of Honor in science and a winner of the Templeton Prize in 2010 in which he was awarded 1.6 million dollars in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
