AP Biology Gang With E.O. Wilson

World famous Harvard University biologist and two time Pultizer Prize winner E.O. Wilson was interviewed for the "City Arts and Lectures" series regarding his most recent book, "The Creation: An Appeal to Save Life on Earth." We learned that Wilson thinks religious and scientifically minded people can agree on one thing that is very important to all people on earth- the need to preserve the biodiversity on our planet. Among other things Wilson discussed the importance of preserving hotspots- places where a large proportion of biodiversity is concentrated. Afterwards a number of us had Wilson sign our books and Abby asked Dr. Wilson to the conronation dance. Wilson respectfully declined because, as he said, " I will be on the east coast, but thanks so much for asking, I don't get asked to go dancing much these days." Nice going Abby!
